Penarwyn House, was built as a home by John De Cressy Treffry (High Sheriff of Cornwall 1921), within a 60 acre estate in the late 1800's. It now stands in over an acre of mature grounds, including a walled garden with Victorian fernery. The house has retained most of its period features with high ceilings, decorative cornices, parquet flooring and crystal chandeliers together with an eclectic mix of antique and modern furniture, offering up to date comfort with full central heating, broadband access for your laptop, spacious bedrooms and luxurious en-suite bathrooms most with roll-top baths and separate powerful showers.
Fascinating sub-tropical gardens abound in Cornwall many are open all year. Spring comes early with the gardens bursting into flower from February and remaining captivating through to late autumn. With Cornwall's diverse culture there are plenty of interesting places to visit and things to do throughout the year.
